Association of Farmworker Opportunity Programs (AFOP)

AFOP seeks to improve the quality of life for migrant and seasonal farmworkers and  their families and to enhance the capabilities of members who serve them by providing information, education, support, advocacy, and representation at the national level. AFOP maintains the National Farmworker Database. One area of focus for the AFOP is the impact of migratory work and child labor on the education of migrant children and youth.

Migrant Education Consortium for Higher Achievement (MECHA)

MECHA is a collaborative effort among  Barry University, Dade County Public Schools Migrant Education Program, public television, telecommunications and software publishing industry partners, and the school districts serving migrant children and youth in Florida,  Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. It promotes greater continuity of instruction and assists migrant students to achieve high academic standards through the use of technology. MECHA utilizes  interactive video, instructional TV, and the World Wide Web to deliver instruction and to access progress.

Migrant Head Start Quality Improvement Centers (MHS QIC)

MHS QIC and  MHS DSQIC are U.S. projects of the Academy for Educational Development (AED), an independent, nonprofit organization. QICs provide training and technical assistance services to Migrant Head Start grantees in thirty-five states.
